So I’m Becoming a Blogger…

Phew…this is new to me. I figured I’d try to take a whack at the blogging world and get my voice out there while my projects sit at an idle point.

Okay, I’ll start off by introducing myself…
I am Alex Winter, 18 years old, from a quiet city in the Bay Area of California. Finishing off high school, and continuing my way through the crazy phenomenon known as the internet.

Now that you know a bit about me, I should explain why I think you guys should listen to what I have to say…
I’m one of those kids who are obsessed with the internet. I can never get enough of it. But don’t get me wrong, I’m not one of those MySpace whores who cry for attention day and night through bulletins. Although… I guess my recent on-line persona does relate to MySpace.

I was the original owner of Adder Robot (www.adderrobot.com). I started that website up on December 26th 2006 hoping to make a few extra dollars in pocket change. If you’re not aware of the website; it was for a downloadable software program I had created that sends automated friend requests, messages, comments, etc through the MySpace community.

Within a month, I realized quickly that the website would make more than a few dollars… Within it’s lifespan the website made over $100,000 and had over 7,000 members.

I guess I consider myself lucky, I started the website up at the perfect time, and I (not to brag) think I had the perfect strategy. Before Adder Robot, all of these automation tools were fairly simple and you had to buy each one separately at a high cost. I changed that, and put everything into one package at an easily affordable price. The first MySpace automation software to feature “CAPTCHA Bypass” was Adder Robot, yes the infamous “send a random message or e-mail invite” method was mine. I sold the website in February to a group of guys who were to take the program to the next level, I cashed out of the game. A month later, MySpace sent cease and desist letters to all of the automation websites (or at least most of them), requesting they shut their doors or face a lawsuit. Guess I sold at the right time huh? ;)

Enough about that though. I am here to keep you informed on social network marketing. I will do my best to keep this blog informative. I have some insider knowledge on this niche so I believe it could be good to start a blog. I’ll share with you what I think the public should know. Whether it’s MySpace, Hi5, Bebo, YouTube…whatever. Oh and all my upcoming projects will be posted here, as well as ones created by others that I suggest checking out. So uh.. Digg me, bookmark me, write me down on a post-it note or whatever… Just don’t forget my domain name!
